Why coaching?

We all feel "stuck" at some point in our lives. That's a good sign: the universe has conjured for us the precious gift of doubt, the seed of new learning. It's time for self-reflection, exploring, and change. It's time to reconnect with your authentic nature, realise your true purpose and become the best version of yourself.
Everyone needs a coach

“Everyone needs a coach.” With these words Bill Gates starts his famous TED talk. From athletes to executives, there is a common denominator that highly accomplished individuals share: they work with a coach.
Yet, for those who never tried coaching, it's common to feel hesitant: "Why do I need help?", "Is there something wrong with me?"
No, there is nothing wrong about you. On the contrary, it's our human innate instinct to realise our full potential. A coach will help you define your own growth agenda and reach the clarity and determination to make it happen.

A few words about me

I was born in Italy and grew up in Napoli, a city vibrant with history, culture, love, chaos, struggle and anything in between.
I studied engineering, attracted by the intellectual challenge, and fell in love with the  elegant perfection expressed by the laws of mathematics and physics.  At the same time, I was attracted by another world, made of people, cultures and places, with its beautiful imperfections, which held so much to be discovered.
So after a first job at a tech startup, I set out to explore, pursuing
exciting career opportunities in automotive, strategy consulting and education, and an MBA at INSEAD. I lived in many places in Europe and Asia, and finally put roots in Zurich.
When, I felt the need for deeper meaning, I started another journey from yoga to meditation, coaching and spiritual research.
Now, I want to share what I learnt to support others' journeys to grow, and live their life in full.

FAQ

Who is your ideal client?
My typical coaching partners are business professionals with 10+ years of work experience. While overall well accomplished by many standards, they feel something is missing, and want to feel more fulfilled at work and in life. They often
see themselves stuck in their current circumstances, and are willing challenge themselves to explore new avenues, find their compass, and continue developing as individuals.

How many clients do you work with?
I normally work with no more than 10 coaching partners at any time. This allows me to give the best attention and keep it personal. To this end, I consider our initial conversation as a mutual fit assessment rather than a sales process.

How long does a coaching engagement last?
There is no one-size-fits-all: the duration is determined together based on the client’s needs. On average you can expect a coaching partnership to last between three and six months to bear its best fruits. No coaching relationship should last forever.

Do you follow a method or framework?
The core of my coaching approach is the Co-Active model, which holds the client as naturally creative, resourceful and whole, and capable of finding their own answers to the challenges they face. My job as a coach is to ask powerful questions, listen and empower you to tap into the resources and strengths you already possesses. Some time, when this will serve well a client on particular topics, I refer to frameworks and resources that may help you find deeper clarity, faster. That said, my clients won’t give you advice or instructions. You will develop your own awareness, motivation and structure you need to embark on your development journey.

Can you tell me more about Co-Active?
Co-Active coaching is built around three principles: fulfilment which helps you discover meaning through inner resonance in your quest towards you authentic purpose; balance which allows to open new perspectives on different areas of your life in order to make choices and turn those choices into action; and process which focuses on connecting you with the whole range of experiences and emotions in your life.

How do we start?
I often start with a short sample coaching session, especially for clients who have not worked with a coach before, for them to get a sense of how our coaching relationship could look like, and mutually assess our chemistry. If we both feel it’s a good match, and there’s a potential to work together, I send a copy of my Coaching Agreement to familiarise with, and a short Discovery Questionnaire. We then kick off with a 30 to 45’ minute Discovery Session in which we build the foundation of our coaching relationship, go through the questionnaire, agree on logistics and commitments, answer any questions, and sign-off the coaching agreement.

What is a Discovery Questionnaire?
This short questionnaire helps you start a reflection on your objectives and sets the stage for the Discovery Session. It's designed to help you think about your goals and what you want to achieve together during our coaching relationship. We review this document every few weeks to see how you're progressing towards your goals.

How often do we meet?
I typically meet with each coaching partner twice a month, and that can be adjusted depending on goals and circumstances. I also make myself available for quick coaching catch-ups if you need support in between sessions.

Where do we meet?

Nowadays sessions are virtual, either by phone or video call. Both work very well and each has advantages. I leave the choice to you, based on your preferences.

How long is a session?
Each coaching session typically lasts 50'.

How much time do I have to invest in coaching?
Besides the time we spend together during the coaching sessions, it’s good norm to allow for one to two more hours a week to follow-up, put in action and integrate what we develop during our sessions.

How does a coaching session look like?
The first couple of minutes are to check in and reconnect. After, we’ll go through a brief summary of key happenings and developments occurred to you since our last session. Then we start working on the main topic you brought to the coaching. The last few minutes are for defining the “homework”: action points, next steps and accountability structure.

How long can I expect to see results?
Most clients start seeing some change from the first sessions. You can expect significant improvements in the areas we work on together within two to three months. Most coaching partnerships come to their natural conclusion after six to nine months.

How much does it cost?
My fee is 150CHF per session. I offer pre-paid packages of 5, 10 and 15 sessions, which cover about 3, 6 and 9 months respectively. After the 3rd session, I will ask you feedback about what’s working, what’s not, and to bring up anything that you’d like to change in our coaching partnership.
